The project looks into the concept of using human behavior as a mode of design thinking, which is informed by the essence of Japanese hospitality, to explore a new framework for approaching design thinking. This approach takes into account both form and function and was subsequently applied to everyday items to create unique designs that aim to stimulate intuition through their aesthetics to create intuitive and poetic designs through product and visuals.

Furoshiki

Simplicity, Service, Evocative, Communication

The furoshiki is used as a reusable wrapping for the box units. What's different about this furoshiki is that there are four holes that allow for the box to sit more snug into the furoshiki while creating a transparent exterior that reveals the interior. The furoshiki can be repurposed for any use, and in this intance, inspired by the creative citizens of New York after the MTA ban on dogs on leashes, can be used to transport dogs conveniently and comfortably.
